People are concerned because they are unable to catch a flight to Spain to attend the funeral of their loved ones.
This is a horrible thing to face and to even discuss but:
Please note the that the Royal Decree 463/2020 that was passed yesterday 29th of March establishes that no more than 3 people can presently attend a funeral.
In other words even if you managed to visit Spain which is extremely difficult and not recommendable you would not be able to attend the funeral.
I have called my local funeral parlour in Mojaca and spoken to Maria Luisa Perez who is the owner. Maria Luisa also happens to be a member of the Mojacar council so we have asked her about how the local police are dealing with the new norms and how many fines they have actually imposed so far.
